Here are some highlights from the SWARM kickoff Friday. Look at our hornets showing that SWARM behavior during the assembly! Teachers even had some fun and showed how to be SUCCESSFUL, have a WINNING ATTITUDE, and stay MOTIVATED by working together and not giving up. Also pictured are winners of our drawing. Many students earned tickets for SWARM behavior during the assembly. It's going to be a fun year for the hornets who show SWARM behavior.
Happy Labor Day! Labor activists in the late 1800s pushed for a federal holiday to recognize the work that has contributed to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of America. Labor Day was first celebrated in 1882.

The Oak Grove Hornets had their PBIS kickoff assembly today! We celebrated what it means to SWARM and ways students can spend points--at the SWARM Store and for special events. Oak Grove Families, Please make plans to attend Grandparents' Lunch on Friday, September 8th. Lunch times are: PreK at 10:15, K at 11:00, 1st grade at 11:10, 2nd grade at 11:30, 3rd grade at 11:40, 4th grade at 11:50, and 5th grade at 12:00. Please allow extra time for parking and bring an ID to check in. The menu will be sloppy joes and tater tots. She just can't stay away! Mrs. Julie James, twice retired, is returning to Oak Grove as our dyslexia interventionist on a temporary basis. We know she will be moving sometime this year, but we are so lucky to have her step in where there was a need, AGAIN! Thank you, Mrs. James!
