As part of the unit of study for our ELD classes, “Wonders of the U.S.," students visited Pettit Jean State Park. They toured the Rock House Cave and the Cedar Falls Overlook. The tour included important vocabulary and provided a great context for the unit of study.

Happy Halloween! Did you know: Halloween originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. What kind of costume will you be wearing tonight (to ward off ghosts, of course 👻)? #pcssdproud #serveall

Some of the best learning is hands on, and you can't get much more hands on than this! Ms. Dunlap's Life Skills students were able to head out to Cockrill's Critters last week for a first hand experience with many of the animals and activities.

Thank you, @UAPB! Last week several AVID Juniors and Seniors were able to talk to UAPB about the programs and opportunities offered on campus.

Our students aren't the only ones who are continuously learning! Congratulations to our very own, Jo Ann Koehler for earning her doctorate degree earlier this month. Dr. Koehler is the director of fine arts for the District. We're proud of you! #pcssdproud #serveall
