Good Afternoon!
Due to the low amount of ticket sales for the Spring Fling, which was scheduled for this Saturday, March 15th, the dance has been cancelled. Students who have already purchased tickets should see Ms. Jackson at the main campus for a refund. Thank you all for your help and willingness to make this dance a success.

March is Youth Art Month, a *gorgeous chance* time to celebrate and support school art programs. Across PCSSD, students take time to explore their creative sides through art courses. Here are some impressive pieces from our ROBINSON Feeder schools! #pcssdproud #serveall

As we continue to celebrate Theatre in Our Schools Month, ROBINSON HIGH takes center stage. 26 students are working on the production of Disney's Descendants the Musical. It's the highest participation in years! Don't miss the show on April 10 at 6:30 pm. #pcssdproud #serveall

Our Yearbook and Journalism students went on a field trip last week to Content Titan (a marketing and videography company) and Arkansas Business Publishing Group. Mitch Bettis, who is president of ABPG, graciously invited us and hosted us at both places. They even paid for pizza for our students! The students were given the opportunity to be in their own marketing video and here it is! I was so proud of their willingness to go in front of the camera. They also learned about the process of selling ads for a magazine, creating a magazine from start to finish, and how to market to a target audience. They represented Joe T. Robinson well and I think had fun along the way.
Here is the video they made

Women's History Month, Female Author Spotlight: Ms. Matthews of MAUMELLE MIDDLE picked Judy Blume. This quintessential children's, YA and adult is the author behind staples like Are You There God, It's Me Margaret? and Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. #pcssdproud #serveall

Women's History Month, Female Author Spotlight: Ms. Choat of SYLVAN HILLS HIGH can't put down Agatha Christie. And it's no mystery why! Christie's novels are still hooking readers with her intricate whodunit plots and clever detective protagonists. #pcssdproud #serveall

Women's History Month, Female Author Spotlight: Ms. Newlin of ROBINSON HIGH's freshman campus loves Jane Austen. Austen is known for her biting wit and sharp societal commentary. Her work still inspires movie adaptations and modern-retellings to this day. #pcssdproud #serveall

Women's History Month, Female Author Spotlight: Mr. Davis of MAUMELLE HIGH also selected a master of gothic literature, Emily Brontë. A poet and writer, Brontë is best known for her only novel, the classic, Wuthering Heights. #pcssdproud #serveall

Women's History Month, Female Author Spotlight: Mr. Stow of BAKER ELEMENTARY is a huge fan of Mary Shelley. Shelley is often considered the mother of sci-fi for her use of scientific elements rather than supernatural in her gothic masterpiece, Frankenstein. #pcssdproud #serveall
