The 5th grade TREK students at Baker Elementary embarked on a global adventure, researching countries from all over the world! Fun fact: did you know that there are more than 30 different languages represented at Baker? The 5th graders were pumped to explore the cultures and countries their fellow students’ families come from. They taught everyone cool new games, and some even took the stage to show off traditional dances from those places! Parents had a blast learning about different cultures too, and they were absolutely amazed by the students’ stellar presentation skills. World tour, Baker style!

The staff at Baker Elementary kicked off Friday with some good old-fashioned fun: snowflake hunting! Five lucky folks received a shiny plastic snowflake at the start of the day, but here's the catch—everyone else was on the lookout to snatch them up! Snowflakes could be “stolen” at any moment, so you had to stay sharp. By the end of the day, the five snowflake holders were the proud winners of a gift card AND some serious bragging rights!

The 3rd and 4th grade TREK students at Baker Elementary took a fun trip back in time to research and present on different decades! The 3rd graders crafted awesome tri-fold boards filled with everything from cool inventions and major events to slang and even hairstyles from the past. Meanwhile, the 4th graders went all out by creating time capsules from various decades, with some even teaching parents the latest dance moves from their era! Parents had a blast reminiscing and were totally blown away by the students’ impressive speaking skills. Time travel has never been so much fun!
