PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. -- On Saturday,November 18, the inaugural Robinson River Run 5K and 1-Mile Kids Run took place on a beautiful morning at Two Rivers Park in West Little Rock. Nearly 100 runners completed the 5K (3.1 miles) course along the Maumelle River, and 20 kids participated in the Kids 1-Mile run.
Tessa Corbitt won the 18 and under Girls Division, with Robinson’s own Emma Clamp and Siena Tait finishing in second and third, respectively. For the 18 and under Boys Division, Robinson Junior, John Tait, cruised to first place, Zachary Boils second, and Senator Michael Smith, Jr. took third. Former Senator, Alex Gabriel, finished second in the 19+ Division.
All proceeds from the race will support the Robinson Cross Country and Track programs, and Coach Wesley Hunt hopes to build on this year’s success and make this Robinson River Run an annual event.
