PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. -- The Joe T. Robinson High Singing Senators are gearing up for a once in a lifetime experience this summer.
For the first time in school history, members of the Singing Senators will travel to New York City and perform in Carnegie Hall. They will perform Francis Poulenc's “Gloria” alongside Berryville High School, Una Voce, and UA Little Rock Choir under the direction of Dr. Lorissa Mason. The trip will take place June 23 - 27, 2022.
“The performance trip will be a rewarding experience focused on providing a relevant, memorable, and rewarding student travel experience,” said choir director Edmond Hampton.
Carnegie Hall is one of the most famous concert halls in the United States. While in New York City, students will have the opportunity to do some sightseeing and experience a Broadway musical.
The Joe T. Robinson Choir Boosters are currently collecting donations to help offset the expense of the trip. Questions about donations can be directed to rhs.singingsenators@gmail.com.
