PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. -- Pulaski County Youth Services is partnering with Dr. Danielle Jackson to present another program for parents to better communicate with their children about the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Social and emotional learning (SEL), also called social and emotional wellness (SEW), is the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decision. The COVID-19 pandemic has left many youth feeling vulnerable and confused.
Dr. Jackson is a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology with the DISD Psychological and Social Services Department. She will discuss children and their emotions as it relates to the current pandemic.
